Coronary artery calcification is often the first sign of heart disease and is a powerful risk indicator for your chances of developing a heart attack. This coronary calcium buildup is detected quickly, easily and painlessly with a CT Calcium Score. You will receive a score that indicates the extent of calcification of the heart’s coronary arteries. The CT scan would be performed in our office in Plano where you will receive your coronary calcium score which will reflect the degree and extend of any calcium deposits in the coronary arteries. If calcification of the coronary artery is identified, early preventive therapy can be initiated.
